Music video post for - The Price of Falling

In honour of my book's 1st birthday, I've been listening to the bands that really shaped the mood and feel of the story, bands I was listening to at the time of writing, bands that the characters were also listening to.

(Although at poor Mike's reluctance, I must say! LOL)

Mostly, the boys were listening to Depeche Mode.

This song is a very moody, dramatic piece of music, and I love it.  (Crappy poo-tube wont let me link to the original video, so this is a live version! Still amazing tho. Not the most flattering icon pic tho, lol)

Depeche Mode - Never Let Me Down Again

The classic Strangelove,  with its amazing lyrics:

When you think I've had enough from your sea of love
I'll take more than another river full
Oh and I'll make it all worthwhile
I'll make your heart smile
(c) Depeche Mode

And the very beautiful Enjoy The Silence
I used to dance to this song in clubs, I love the lyrics:
All I ever wanted, all I ever needed
Is here in my arms
(c) Depeche Mode

And to finish it off, a final video from the notorious band that my characters went to see play live, in Austin, Texas (as near as dammit as I could get to reality!)

Probably the best video in rock history -- Rev Co.  cover Rod Stewart!!

For more on why I include bands and music in my work, visit this post I made for Kay Berrisford. There's also an excerpt from my book, the scene where Jason breaks the news to Mike that they're going to see the band above... ;p

Happy Birthday - The Price of Falling
